As per the imprint name, we publish dark fiction in many forms. We are open to cross-genre stories, if they are well-crafted and contain dark elements.

  • Must contain dark elements, and the erotica portions must serve a purpose other than to tittilate.
  • No torturing of kids, no kiddie porn.
  • No purple prose.
  • No rape scenes. If it is needed, have it happen off camera sans details, and have a purpose (such as a woman whose history includes getting raped in college becomes a psycho killer or the world’s foremost medical specialist for assault victims.)
  • No beastiality, although lycanthropes are possible if done properly. “Done properly” means we accept it for publication.

General Submission Rules:

• Only submit when windows are open.
• Follow standard formatting for manuscripts.
• Submit only .RTF files to our Submittable page.
• At the end of your submission, include a 250-word maximum bio written in third person.
• No moldy trunk stories, we’re not a graveyard or dumping ground.
• For themed anthologies, stick to the theme.
• Word counts are strict, unless you’re Stephen King or Neil Gaiman.
• Payments by Paypal.
• Before submission, edit your work.
• Your submission will be edited.
• We require exclusive North American First Rights for original work, two year timespan.
• For reprints, you must certify you have all rights returned. Reprints will be non-exclusive.
